How do I install York Street Leather Walls, Tiles, and Floors?
York Street Leather Wall tiles should be installed in the same manner
as wood paneling. No grouting is necessary. The tiles should be
installed side by side with a snug fit.
Prepare clean dry surface (sheet rock, plywood, or a pre-existing
wall surface).
Alignment: Velcro can be used to secure alignment prior to the
final adhesive compound application.
Professional Strength Waterproof Polyurethane Compound
(waterproof mastic) should be applied to the tile, avoiding the edges
to avoid “squeeze-out” of excess mastic, and then pressed securely
in place onto the wall surface. Standard wood cutting tools may be
used for standard installation as well as for custom fitting of tiles.
